Catherine Pooler Love & Lace Release!

 Hi friends,

It's been quite a while since you've seen me! My creativity took a hit when my depression spiked, the new Catherine Pooler sparked my creativity and I couldn't be more excited to show you what I created!

Today's card was inspired by the Roses are Red Stamp Set. I love this layering roses set, it's difficult to mess up honestly. I decided to stamp out 3 of the roses and several of the stems and leaves to create a pretty bundle then fussy cut them out, I recommend that you get the die set though since this was a little tedious!

Ink Colors used:

Rose Petals

Rouge

Garden Party

In the Park

Mardi Gras

Sage

Eucalyptus

Midnight

I used the Double Duty Circle Dies to cut a circle in a rosy pink cardstock, the another out of white cardstock to stamp the "Happy Birthday" from the Roses are Red Stamp Set.

I taped a Halo Light to the back of the card face and centered it on the backside of the white circle and used Double Thick Foam Tape to hold the card face up when I adhered it to the card base.

I finished it off with a few enamel dots and I think the end result is pretty illuminating! Be sure to check out the entire new release from Catherine Pooler! I hope my card inspires you as much as this stamp set inspired me!

Stop by tomorrow for another new card using the Catherine Pooler new release!

Love,

The Purrfect Slimline Knots Birthday Card!

Hello again friends!

It's Rachel, back to show off a fun little take on the new Slimline Knit, Knots, and Stitches die set. I focused on the Knots die, which to me, could be used in a variety of ways... but mostly reminds me of donuts. I couldn't think up a way to showcase it AS donuts though, so I went with a party banner or streamer instead.

I started by cutting out a mini slimline card base (3.25"x6.25") in a bright, fun green. Then, I cut down a 6"x6" sheet to add start my background. The Slimline Knots die came next, I cut this out twice using a playful, deep pink. I wound this back and forth on my card, the pattern wound up go back and forth three times.

Our Purrfect Birthday stamp set seemed like a fun item to pair with the background that I had created. I stamped out the cat and the mouse onto XPress It Copic friendly cardstock, then colored them up! The sentiment was also from the Purrfect Birthday stamp set, I stamped onto the same green that I had used for the card base, this I cut using the small banner die from the Rosette Ribbon die set. This I mounted in the center of the larger banner from the Rosette Ribbon die set, which I cut out of a balloon patterned paper.

I finished the card off with some cute little enamel hearts as an embellishment.

Kindred Stamps Earth Day Birthday Card!

Hi friends!

I am excited to share my card showing off the new Kindred Stamps Earth Day stamp set. I love these little robots and wanted to let them have a little fun in space for my cards.

I began by coloring them with Copic markers. For the white robot, I used VERY light colors in the Blue and Cool Gray families to create a  light shadow affect for her body. Then I covered her face with Nuvo Crystal Glaze I fussy cut both robots out and used a black water-based marker on the edges.

Next, I created a space background with watercolors, I used a mixture of brands, but was really impressed with the new colors I got recently from HydraColour. I used a mixture of different white watercolors to make some little "clouds" like the yellow robot was being propelled by something. I mounted my watercolored background onto a black card base.

I stamped the binary "happy birthday" and "(Happy Birthday)" sentiments from Earth Day onto the Squiggle Mat Die from Stamp Anniething and trimmed it down to put on the top corner of my watercolored background. I used a black paper and stamped in Hero Arts Unicorn Ink. I was pretty pleased with the way it stamped since this was my first time using this ink.

I popped my robots up on some thin foam tape and placed them on the card. To finish my card off, I added some clear droplet pieces from the Unicorn Legend Shimmerz to embellish the card. It's hard to photograph but the card is covered in a fine shimmer creating a magical affect.

The new Kindred Stamps Earth Day set will probably end up being my favorite stamp set ever! I love these sweet little robots and the sentiments are super fun, I chose the happy birthday sentiments because I seem to always be short on birthday cards. I look forward to see what you create with these cuties when they make it to your craft room.
