Unicorn Pop-Up Oval Card with i-crafter New Release

I absolutely LOVE the card I am sharing with you today! i-crafter has a fantastic new release today, I am showing off the new Box Pops Oval Base die and Box Pops Unicorn Add-On!

These fun dies fit into a normal A2 envelope and can be combined in so many neat ways.

I started by die cutting the unicorn out from Sweet Sentiment's white paper, it's got a faint shimmer to it and is Copic friendly, so it lends well to coloring a unicorn! I chose shades from the Violet family of Copic markers to color the unicorn. I used a silver marker to color the horn. I used a fabric backed sheet of glitter to cut out the unicorn's mane and tail.

Next, I built my base, the Box Pops Oval Base die got cut out twice, from this adorable cloud paper that I wish I could remember the brand of. I thought it would be super cute for the unicorn to be walking on clouds and this paper was perfect for that.

As I assembled the box, I added the star inserts from the Box Pops Unicorn Add-On to the the base. The stars were cute from white glitter paper. I saved the little stars that ended up as a by product of the inserts to add around the sentiment.

I used the "stay magical" sentiment dies from the Box Pops Unicorn Add-On die set for the sentiment and cut it out of some silver mirrored cardstock. I finished the card off by adding several large silver mirrored cardstock stars and little white glitter paper stars using the Box Pops Unicorn Add-On die set.

Personally, I think this creation is straight up magical! I hope that you think so too! Head over to i-crafter to get the new Box Pops Oval Base and Box Pops Unicorn Add-On die sets, and check out the other wonderful new release items too! Be sure to join the i-crafter Facebook Fan Club, then follow us on Instagram, and Pinterest too! Until next time,

Snow Day Card Making!

Hello again friends!

I am super excited to share the card I've made today, my little sister, Addison, asked me to make her a card and "surprise her" with the theme. Normally, I don't get to work with many stamps that aren't for team projects, that doesn't mean that I don't collect other's that I want to eventually work with! Today was a snow day from work, we have a bit of a winter storm going on here in Washington right now. Card making felt like the perfect thing to break up the movies and cleaning that have been running my life the last 4 days!

Addison is obsessed with unicorns, and I have accumulated a ton in my collection. Today, I broke out the "Be a Unicorn" set from The Greeting Farm. I absolutely LOVE the personality on these unicorns. I decided to do a watercolor technique that I learned at Creativation from Catherine Pooler using her ink pads.  On the unicorn on the left, I used All That Jazz and Be Mine, the unicorn on the right is Grape Crush and It's a Girl. I used the opposite color of the body on the girl's horns, then added a touch of Wink of Stella.

For the background, I used Altenew's Kind Confetti that I purchased from Kraftgali.  I stamped the confetti 3 times. I started with Catherine Pooler's Lime Rickey, then Something Borrowed, and finished with Royal Treatment. I love the fun pattern it created.  I went ahead and added the sentiment using silver Encore ink, "Do what makes you sparkle" completely fits my little sister's personality.

I built off a white card base, then added some pink Mirror Card Stock from The Stamp Doctor. I added a strip of silver sparkly ribbon, then added my stamped base and adorable unicorns!

I hope that you enjoy the card as much as I enjoyed making it! Hopefully, Addison will like it too!

EEEEP! Who doesn't love a unicorn? And a chubby unicorn? Dreams come true right?!

I  found Amy Doodle Stamp Co. when I saw the owner post a card using this adorable little guy!  I colored him using Copics, and then colored his horn, the stars, and the sentiment using Spica Glitter Pens.

I kept the design fairly basic, using a pad of glitter paper from Hobby Lobby for the background. I cut out a square behind him and used dimensionals to pop him up off the glitter.

For the sentiment, I added a black backing and colored all but "sparkle" and "not" in black to make sure they really stood out! I also used dimensionals to pop the sentiment out.

Finally, I added a couple of black hearts using Nuvo Drops to round the card out and have it not feel so unembellished!

I hope you enjoy this beauty and would like to invite you to visit Amy's shop here!

Thank you for visiting,

A Bit of Magic!

Have you ever been stupidly excited for something, then when it arrives you don't know what to do with it?

That's what the Magical Alphabet from Kindred Stamps had me feeling. I told my best friend that I wanted to make something "obnoxious and amazing" with it. I came up with this!

I knew I wanted to use the alphabet to create "Yasss" which is something I will use typing on Facebook when I get excited, but honestly don't actually saw.  Using my Chameleon Pens and their Color Top counterparts to color my letters and the extra embellishments. Then hit the little magical bits with a clear Wink of Stella.

I went with a mix of the new Kindred Stamps Unicorn Poop and Unicorn Farts Shaker Packs... this stuff is SO fun. There is such a unique blend of glitter, sequins, and other magical items. The star design in the center Stampin' Up's star framelit die cut, I used Stampin' Up's White Shimmer paper (this may be retired) to create a clean background. Then grabbed just a random large piece of pinkish paper from my scraps pile.  I went with an Orange BrazzilBasics Cardstock for the card base.

Finally, I grabbed the Magical Unicorn stamps from my stash, Kindred Stamps for the win!  I colored it with my Copic Atyou Spica Glitter Pens.  I knew I didn't want to leave it white, so I went with the turquoise for the body, then went with every single colorful pen I could find for the hair.

I am so pleased with how this card turned out and can't wait to find the perfect person to give it to!
